Whether you are an experienced climber or even if you have never seen a climbing wall before, The Wall in the Hall offer something for everyone.
Set routes range from grade 3 to 7a. from taster sessions, suitable for all the family, and coaching sessions to help improve your technique.
Taster Sessions
Taster sessions are a perfect way to get the whole family involved. They are run on a group basis and are designed to be a bit more of a 'just for fun' activity than some of our other sessions. There is less emphasis on rope work and technique giving you more time to climb!
Coaching Sessions
Coaching sessions are run on a 1 to 1 or 1 to 2 basis and are an ideal way to learn all aspects of indoor climbing. For complete beginners where we teach knot tying, belaying and basic climbing techniques to more advanced levels where we work towards improving style and grade.
After School Kids Clubs
Kids clubs run on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays and are a great way for children to learn the ropes. We encourage those of all abilities to reach their potential, as well as teaching the basic climbing and belaying techniques. We also put a lot of emphasis on the other aspects of climbing, like safety, communication and team-work.
Becoming a Member
Becoming a member at The Wall in the Hall is free of charge! All we need from you is to prove that you are competent and confident in belaying and knot tying. If you are a little rusty DON'T PANIC, we offer an induction session where we can help you brush up on your skills. Or if you are a complete beginner we offer a 6 week beginners course which teaches you the basics and helps you to progress to more complex techniques.
